Rafflesia sp. - Poring Hot Springs, Sabah

R. keithii?
Not as far as I know (I could be wrong of course; it does happen, from time to time).

There's a similar (but much smaller) species in the general area though, R. pricei, e.g. at Tambunan. I'm not aware of them being at Poring though. I'll have a google and see what comes up.

So, some googling says that there are three species in Sabah (out of nine total in Borneo). R. tengku-adlinii is found only in the Trus Madi ranges. R. pricei and R. keithii appear to be separated by altitude, with the latter being a lowland species and the former a highland species (e.g. at Tambunan as I said earlier, and on the slopes of Mt. Kinabalu).

It's possible the volunteer was meaning that two species are found in the Mt Kinabalu National Park (Poring of course being a lowland site within the park).
