What a great photo! Three primates in the same shot...and a wonderful example of interaction between the species. Is the orangutan your daughter's favourite animal?
When I was in the Zoo last Friday afternoon several of the Sumatran orangs were up at the windows , including one of the females and her baby . It was lovely to watch the interactions between ape and public , especially young children , through the glass .
Emma and Subis, plus their babies have come up to the window each time I've been to Chester. It's lovely. This toy orang (called Rajang of course ) has been taken all over the place by my daughter ..... Tumba (the brown chimp) at Colchester had quite an extreme reaction to it, banging on the glass and screeching ... so much so we hid it as we didn't want to distress him. Would love to know what he thought it was.
