This seems like an interesting little zoo.

Is it primarily built and run by the students at the college? Is it regarded by the UK zoo enthusiast community as a decent zoo?

It is very much a zoo that is run to train the next generation of zoo keepers in the UK.That said its a very small collection that I think is pretty well balanced for the job it does,the place also has a pretty good Amphibian collection,that would not be out of place in a major collection within the UK!

It's a shame that in the new facility, most of the amphibians have been moved into rooms that the public cannot access.

Very true,but if it keeps them healthy I'm all in favour of it,that said they do move the tanks round every now and again so that something different can be viewed!
