I’m not entirely sure as to the reason, but something tells me it had to do with AZA standards. The Zoo was accredited in either August or early September of this year, and it seemed as though the dolphins had only just recently moved. Purely speculation, but it was probably the final outstanding husbandry issue in the accreditation process.
