Red billed blue pie

In the aviary last but one by the soon? to be Stanley (blue) crane enclosure
One of the finest avicultural subjects. Needs effort to breed up and maintain a captive stock in the absence of wild caught imports.
They look their best in a long, high aviary where they can really get on the wing. In sustained flight, the long tail sort of floats higher than the body and head.

Beautifull animal and as FBBird said efforts should be made to establish it by breeding !
On the European continent it is luckily still kept in some numbers and also breeding takes place with some regularity. They can however be realy beasts when in breeding-condition !!
