This is one of a few (the only?) Kirks red colobus imported in 60-ies. The text to the same picture published in IZY vol 6 says:
"The very rare Kirk's Colobus, Colobus badius kirki at Antwerp Zoo. It is found only on Zanzibar and the race is thought to number less than 200 animals. Until now, Kirk's Colobus has been difficult to keep alive in captivity as a very selective feeder. However, both Frankfurt and Antwerpen zoos have succeded in keeping it for over a year and it is hoped that in the near future it may be possible to breed it."
According to the article Antwerp kept 3,4 from 1964 but only two males survived more than a year (one sent early to Frankfurt).
