@ajmcwhipsnade True! I find if you point the lens at them people stop and peer in. And then sometimes you get the 'it's just birds'. Silent screaming. But you also get people who didn't realise there was much there and then stop.
I've been going each visit to see how big the chick is, such a cool thing to see.
@Lafone Reminds me of my visit to Chester last week, a group came up to me while I was taking photos of the collared trogons, looked in and said "Oh, boring".
@Fallax sometimes I do say something or point out the female or male if they are hiding and a different colour. It’s often hard to hide a liking for the feathery friends!
