Santiago zoo is on the Cerro de San Cristobal hill. I was told that on those rare very very clear days in Santiago you can even see the Andes from Cerro San Cristobal. Santiago has a lot of air pollution. I was lucky, the day before i went to the zoo it rained, so the view was clear.
