My main objective there
Most part of the Red-knobbed Coots, and other species, that are raised at La Cañada, are part of reintroduction programs. They use those collars because are more easy to read than normal rings when the birds are on the wild, since usually legs are hidden under the water. But seems to be pretty uncomfortable for the birds, I think. I saw some pecking and scratching it, like trying to remove it.
