@gentle lemur I'm going to go with a Whirligig of Phalaropes. I decree that this shall from now onwards and forever be the collective noun for these birds.
@nczoofan Indeed, we had a unseasonably cold storm come through the last several days and it has dropped quite a few Red-necked Phalaropes in the area.
