This looks quite nice. Is this a remodel of the old exhibit or a completely new exhibit? I seem to remember that the old one had a chain link fence around it (haven't seen it since 2000 so memory is hazy).

Tacoma and Fresno are the only zoos that I have been to with red wolves. Where else have you seen them? For an endangered species they seem surprisingly uncommon in zoos.

The old exhibit did have a chain-link fence around it and it wasn't very aesthetically attractive. The new exhibit is actually two enclosures and is much more modern, as there are glass viewing windows, unobstructed viewing opportunities (such as in this photo) and many new graphics and brightly-painted signs. However, spotting the pair of wolves currently here was still a struggle on my visit yesterday, and my wife ended up seeing them first in a dense patch of grass at the back of the second habitat.

I've seen red wolves at Point Defiance, Fresno, North Carolina (around 10 of them), Jacksonville, Knoxville, Fort Worth, Lincoln Park, Oklahoma City, etc. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park (Point Defiance's sister park) has around 40 of them but they are unfortunately all off-exhibit.
