One of the only two tanks in the Cairns Aquarium that has live corals, all the other saltwater tanks use artificial coral to avoid the need for expensive specialty lighting fixtures, expense buying coral and to limit the number of corals taken from the Great Barrier Reef (the aquarium's suppliers collect off the Great Barrier Reef, but it is very controlled to avoid overcollection)
