The sacking has been removed from the fence around the paddock. The gates at each end were also open, allowing the Muntjac pair access to some of the banks around Three Island Pond

Is this exhibit connected to the new lion development in any way or just a stand alone exhibit?

Yes, it is part of Land of the Lions, visible from the entrance pathway and the elevated walkway around the Langur enclosure.
