Renovated 'Monkey House'

The historical Monkey House has been renovated and holds now one big 'walk-through' exhibit instead of the many separated enclosures it used to house before. The species it houses (indoors) now are: White Headed Marmoset (Callithrix geoffroyi), White Faced Saki (Pithecia pithecia), Pygmy marmoset (Callithrix pygmaea), Goeldi's marmoset (Callimico goeldii), Two-toed Sloth (Choloepus didactylus), Big Hairy Armadillo (Chaetophractus villosus), Northern Treeshrew (Tupaia belangeri), Sugar Gliders (Petaurus breviceps), Ground Cuscus (Phalanger gymnotis), Rodrigues Flying Fox (Pteropus rodricensis), Seba Short-Tailed Bat (Carollia perspicillata), Pied Imperial Pigeon (Ducula bicolor), Crested Wood Partridge, Palawan Peacock-Pheasant (Polyplectron napoleonis), Yellow-Footed Tortoise (Chelonoidis denticulata), Common Iguana (Iguana iguana), Bloody Bay Poison Frog (Mannophryne olmonae) & Cane Toad (Bufo marinus). Most of the external enclosures are still empty, but this one (in the front of the picture) houses Alpine Marmots (Marmota marmota).
