Reptile house interior - Feb 2012

The large desert hall. Before this is a small hallway of small wall tanks and before that a larger rainforest hall.

It is fairly small, so for overall size and number of species I would rate it average. But for theming and size of individual exhibits I would rate it above average. Better than the bland square rooms that were the norm in zoos until recently, but of course it could not meet the spectacular standards of the brand new mega reptile houses like MOLA (Fort Worth) or LAIR (Los Angeles) or the innovative outdoor exhibits of Life On The Rocks (ASDM Tucson).
