What did you think of this zoo? It almost shut down several years back, but it looks like they have put together quite a nice zoo based on your photos.
I was pleasantly surprised by this small zoo. It had some older parts, sure, but the newer stuff seems to be bringing the zoo in the right direction. They had a nice variety of cat species for a small zoo (5 species) and I got to be about an inch away from 2 active jaguars which is a first for me.

For a very small local zoo they do a great job, I think. The Director and staff and skilled professionals. But they are within the Parks Dept. and so share resources with many competing recreational facilities. Still, they seem to plan something new almost every year
@fkalltheway you sureee they are zebra finches? I been to the zoo so many times that I now work there and the birds that share that exhibit are bright yellow and look nothing like any Zebra Finch I ever seen?
