About 12 living species in 10 exhibits and most of the house is used for displaying models of dinosaurs/reptiles.
It is pretty underwhelming.
@dublinlion Thanks for the information. What a missed opportunity! I was expecting something along the lines of Toledo Zoo (although not necessarily with Tuataras) with maybe 60-70 species.
I agree that is feels a little bit empty in terms of species and if they wanted there would be more space available. The educational displays are of a very high level though and it would be a waste to put as many terraria as possible in this very tastefully done renovation.
Overall I found Dublin rather disappointing, it all looks aesthetically pleasing (which is not always the same as good for the animals....) but it basically only displays ABC species and with about 80 species (of which 12 are in this house) on 30 hectares there would be loads of opportunities to make this place somewhat more interesting....
