Thanks for the photo and update on the construction. It looks like they are making rapid progress, but are they aiming for completion this July or July 2013?
Actually this July, 2012. That gives them 8 or 10 weeks, should be enough. Head reptile keeper Bret talked about it this morning and seemed pretty excited. I didn't catch it all but did hear something about a wooden walkway and a new pond for some crocs of some kind. They are making good progress.

Thanks for the information. I'm impressed that they are able to get a project like this put together in a relatively short amount of time. Hopefully the new exhibits will be good homes for the turtles, frogs, etc.
Regarding the crocodile, Zoochatter Betsy posted some information from a San Diego Zoo mailer indicating that Chinese alligators are going to be part of the new exhibit. Perhaps this is what the keeper was mentioning.
