Interesting mix... You'd think they'd go for American birds, not African

@Mr Gharial : it is rather the American alligator that is outside of the African thematic of the area and the zoo overall. Their presence is due to the ability of alligators to cope better with Southern France temperatures than Nile crocodiles or other African crocodilians which would need more heating in winter.
