The former elephant house, no? It seemed as if the outdoor accomodations were quite decent for elephants, albeit unique (terraces). Does Tierpark Nürnberg plan to bring them back?
@Wyman Former elephant house indeed. There are no plans to bring back elephants. With the current management in place such an enclosure would span multiple hectares, cost something similar as in Zurich and be developed on new land. So there is no money, nor any appetite for it. Even though elephants are missed by some visitors, visitor numbers have been steadily increasing in recent years, approaching record attendance.
