Thanks @Mr Gharial - they were not hard to find at all! quite surprised to have found them by the dozens around the park's visitor center. I imagine they must either breed them for release or feed them at a certain point in the day but I was scared of them being killed by cars as the place is right next to a main road and the parking lot had several basking when I arrived.
