One of four aviaries which each houses one pair of ruddy shelducks, intertwined with the pheasant aviaries.
Along with the hippo exhibits, these aviaries are arguably the worst exhibits of the zoo, providing very little space and even less water for the birds. These conditions are especially bad given that a fifth pair of ruddy shelducks live in a much larger aviary in another part of the zoo.
Fortunately, about half of the aviaries were empty, leading me to think that they are being phased out.
