@Onychorhynchus coronatus It looks to be the case given the mural's faded nature (deliberately done, absolutely FANTASTIC job by David Rock IMO) I do know they placed real Madagascan plants within the Spiny Forest habitat, along with the rest of the habitats in Madagascar. They covered up ducts and vents with fabricated baobabs and octopus trees to my knowledge. This link should clear things up in terms of what plants were used: ZooLex Exhibit - Madagascar!
