@DelacoursLangur Agreed. It is one of their newest, plus it had been planned and fund-raised for, for at least 4 years before it was built. The new beavers and their exhibit came to the zoo with relatively short-notice, so there wasn't as much fund-raising or planning time. And the emu exhibit is what I'd expect from a zoo of this size and funding.
All of the other exhibits were built in 2012 or earlier.
@Wild wolverine Its hard to judge by the photos but the bear exhibit doesnt look half bad either, if on the small side. Seems like a charming little zoo overall.
@DelacoursLangur None of the enclosures are bad, though a few may be a bit on the small side. This zoo has done a good job of giving their animals enough room despite the zoo's small size (the zoo is just over 3.5 acres).
@birdsandbats Thanks for the info, its astounding how long it takes small zoos in small cities like this to fund raise for exhibits like the otter's.
I'm always impressed with how good exhibits look despite this being an incredibly small zoo. If I had to say the only bad exhibit in the zoo would be the indoor capuchin exhibit. It's very small and looks like it was designed in the 1930s. I also assume the monkeys have to stay inside for a fairly large portion of the year due to the colder weather.
