The zoo has 2 river otters in the first exhibit, and 2 arctic foxes and 1 geriatric rocky mountain goat in the background enclosure. I've been emailing the zoo to encourage them to add more goats to the mountain habitat, but apparently they are incredibly difficult to obtain from other zoos. One possibility that the zoo is looking into is adding Dall's sheep instead, but that species might be even more difficult to locate! As it is this section of the zoo is an award-winning spectacle that has many hidden moats and few visible barriers separating the captives from the visitors.

It wouldn't deviate too far from its setting to replace the mountain goat with Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep either. The northern limits of their range is approximately that of the wapiti on display in the same area.
