Rocky Mountain Goat/Arctic Fox Exhibit

Jan. 15th, 2011.
The exhibit doesn't look too big; or is there something you know that I don't? ;)

The exhibit is actually rather large, with numerous vantage points. Due to the immersive landscape when viewing the river otters, the goat/foxes can sometimes be seen in the background. Also, above the grizzly bears I've occasionally seen a goat on the ridge, and the entire area is quite brilliantly landscaped.

The rock ledges in the background (artificial basalt, by the way) are accessible to the goats, and there is a large grassy slope behind it that is also part of the habitat, visible as a backdrop to the otter exhibit.

The entire Northern Trail complex is undoubtably one of the world's great zoo exhibits.

From the angle of the photo it kind of makes the goat look like the size of a grizzly bear! Great shot.

@wild boar There's a rocky section in the foreground, plus a grassy meadow in the background. The Rocky Mountain Goat exhibit, which no longer contains Arctic Foxes, is also seen as the backdrop to the North American River Otter pool. Here are some additional images:
