It is almost unheard of to see such a large bat exhibit that is outdoors and open to fresh air. Some of the children inside the viewing area were thrilled to poke their hands out into the enclosure, and they were stretching in order to touch one of the bats. However, the bats were too wise for them and hanging far out of reach.
