The guide we had on this night walk had some kind of crazy, roosting-bird-finding superpower - as well as the trogon and the wren nest, he found roosting Mountain Elaenia, Swainson's Thrush, and even a Blue-throated Toucanet. Amazing stuff. He was also the same guide who found us a pair of quetzals the next day - that was the only occasion we used a guide for something other than a boat trip or night walk, so we were very glad to have our favourite!
