Rostock Zoo - Darwineum - General view of the tropical hall

Other than the indoor exhibits for gorillas/guenons and orangutans/gibbons as well as various all-indoor exhibits for small animals, the huge tropical hall also has three species of free-flying birds: Bali starling, zebra finch, and violet turaco. According to Zootierliste, the hall also has two-toed sloths, but I'm not sure if these were there during my visit given that they weren't signed and I saw no trace of them, not even in the roped area that was obviously purpose-built for sloths.

July 2017.
