Heading to Gorge tomorrow - any tips to maximise chances of being able to see the rarer waterfowl (scaup, ruddy and paradise shelducks, Egyptian geese), and the agouti?
@That Aussie Guy I didn't see scaup anywhere but I think I missed them. Egyptian Goose are mixed with spider monkeys, Ruddy Shelduck are opposite the walkthrough wetlands aviary with all the spoonbills and Paradise Shelduck were next to the gibbons. Agouti are mixed with the Blue and Gold Macaw at the front of the zoo, look between the clumps of grass. Make sure you try seeing the Orange-footed Scrubfowl if you haven't already. It's in the wetlands aviary opposite the dingoes, hangs around the big mound. Just posted the second half of the Gorge review which goes into more detail. Good luck.
