We spent quite some time here watching the mating ritual of Ruffs and Reeves. The males would settle groups of females in a circle and attempt to mate before the attention of other males forced him to fight back.
This particular white-feathered Ruff was taking rather a beating from its black-feathered rivals, but kept coming back for more. It was pretty brutal, actually.
