Was also so lucky to see this species in Mexico when I visited this beautifull country, was however not so lucky to take any photos of it... it was simply to fast and disappeared in a reedbed .
This individual was a resident near the town of Rio Lagartos. I saw it on the same location 3 days in a row. I saw a second bird at another part of the town on my third day there. Both birds were a little cautious but not especially shy.
I did see this species two years before in Tortuguero, Costa Rica, but that was just a quick observation of 2 birds running and they were out of sight before I even had time to point my camera. So this was a welcome second chance. (I did manage to observe and photograph Aramides cajaneus in Costa Rica too)
