This gave me a feeling of deja vu when I visited in 2008, as it is reminiscent of Woodland Park's grizzly habitat. Both are AZA award winners, both feature next to zero barriers other than the glass viewing, and in each instance the visitor is left wondering...what is actually keeping the bears from simply running off into the distance? Most zoos would never have the financial muscle to even conceive of such fantastic exhibitry.
