Someone pointed this out to me today. This is a young Sacred Ibis and it's mother. At times this young one makes so much noise you can hear it from pretty much anywhere in the Pavilion.

Well, there are multiple nesting spots in the exhibit, and from what I understand, the bird share all the nesting spots. There are no claims to a single spot.
Oh I know there would be more nests. What I meant was the nest is so small compared to the chick's eventual size before fledging and we are talking about a species that lays 2-3 eggs. It doesn't look like it could support three nearly grown chicks... unless they commit fratricide.
