The Detroit Zoo bought Sadie and Jiggs in 1955. Both orangutans were captured as babies in Indonesia. Sadie had 3 babies, and died at the age of 14 or so. Does anyone have any information, beyond what's in the studbook, about these two? Any memories out there?
