Second part of Malayan Sun Bear grotto.
I don't know why zoos are forcing keeping sun bears in such enclosures like this, with a lot of rocks/rocky steps, when this species is from plain tropical forest - needing tropical floor habitat and trees for climbing. This would be rather barren environment for this species.

Such enclosure would be best for caprines, hyraxes, maybe old world vultures, and snow leopards, I think.

The Saint Louis Zoo has made an immense amount of improvements for enclosures within the last 5 years or so. All the bears got or are in the process of getting better habitats. Spectacled and sun bears moved to River's Edge, sloth bears left the zoo, polar bears all died but a new habitat was built (taking over two old grottos). The last grizzly died but a new habitat is being built that will take over the last of the remaining grottos. One grotto did hold takin at one point.
