The Sale Botanic Gardens have a fenced off area of approx. an acre (the fence is seen on the RHS of this photo) that contains a range of different small wallabies (although these are difficult to see in the large area and long grass) and a growing flock of peafowl, including several white ones. Lots of waterfowl both domestic and wild, live on the lakes here as well. A very nice park, well worth visiting
this fence has been removed and the area landscaped, so whilst the peafowl still roam the area, there's not many left. I could only find 9 in total. The council considers the peafowl to be wild so they don't maintain responsibility for them. They appear to be able to find enough food for themselves or visitors or nearby homes feed them
