Scandinavian Wildlife Park - Polar bear

A polar bear inside the Polar Bear Park in the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, Denmark. This is one of the main attractions of the park.

This is an absolutely stunning shot of a relaxing, and probably most content, polar bear in what must be one of the best enclosures in the world for polar bears in captivity.

Thanks you two. If you know when to show up it is a dream to photograph polar bears in the Scandinavian Wildlife Park. The polar bears walk around at eye-level and their white fur stand out nice against the green background that is the grassy hill.

I was approx. 5 meters from the bear at eye-level. He has just lying there observing the visitors while waiting for his food.

This is a magnificent shot. From looking at the Park's website this enclosure amounts to 2.6 hectares, ie around 6.5 acres.

Those who know me will know EXACTLY which UK zoo I think could put together something like this...
