The stunning backdrop is gorgeous, the animal collection is immense, the enclosures are for the most part huge, and it all adds up to be one of the best zoos in North America. The one-two punch of the zoo and the park make San Diego a ZooChatter's paradise.

As for previous post, in my opinion (and it is just an opinion) I would skip Sea World - I was there maybe 15 years ago and didn't even stay the whole day and have no desire to ever step foot inside again.

i'm not saying it is, but that makes (in one city) a classic zoo (the SD ZOO) An Open range wild animal park (THE SDZWAP) and a aquatic animal park (SEA WORLD)
