The original entrance in 1872 when "The Royal Aquarium" opened. (Throughout the building old pictures like these can be found. Very nice to make the comparison!)
When it opened it had the largest tank in the world. It contained 450,000 litres seawater.
The aquarium was the first ever to house manatees!
Untill today 30 million people visited the aquarium.
