Second greenhouse - Meerkat enclosure

The name was chosen with zero intention of making it geographically accurate. I believe the name was chosen when it was only a single greenhouse with butterflies. The zoo is very small and private owned, I think the owners might have lived in Costa Rica at some point, and wanted to bring a little bit of the tropics back to Netherland.

Hence the name: Little Costa Rica

Love the cactus mural in the background, as if "Little Costa" wasn't geographically accurate enough.

though tbf I think there are exhibits at this place more costly than this one...

There are (were) only three true enclosures at this mini-zoo. The rest consisted of two greenhouses and a pond.

This is a true mini-zoo and this meerkat enclosure actually used to be a pool.

This was a privately owned greenhouse at first, as an extension of the owner's garden
