There are 5 black bears and 2 wolves in the same 10-acre enclosure, which can only be seen via a 12 minute bus tour. The tour also drives through the 15-acre bison/elk/black-tailed deer exhibit. I've posted over 800 photos of the Greater Vancouver Zoo here on ZooChat, and some of the enclosures (grizzly bear, hippo, cape buffalo/eland/ostrich, reindeer, wild boar, etc) are an acre or two in size. There are close to 35 species of hoofstock, but most of the zoo is simply huge paddock after paddock. It's not a very visitor-friendly establishment, and has a dodgy past, but the place has improved immeasurably in recent years.
