A very nice shot!... And a very lucky one to boot! He is rarely seen by the keepers, let alone to the public! There would be days at a time where there'd be absolutely no sign of him, and then, finally, one morning you'd be cleaning in the morning or feeding early in the afternoon and there you'd see him go scurrying from one side of the aviary to the other before vanishing into one of his hiding places again. He likes to hide out behind the trees in the far front left and far rear right of the and then in the log and bushes in the front center of the aviary. While I'm sure his absence will go completely unnoticed by visitors given the fact that he is so nearly impossible to see, it is the fact that he is so hard to see that makes those glimpses of him that you do get so exciting and rewarding, and that is why I, for one, will greatly miss him when he leaves the collection soon.
