I know - it's a very unsightly barrier and I'm not entirely sure why it's here. My assumption is they are trying to keep the Giraffes away from the east fence, which is the shortest.
@Summer Tanager, in this context, I take the “uniqueness” as a positive. Especially since the rest of the savanna’s barriers are rather excessive on the same metal fencing.
