A Sumatran Serow presumably? I've just been looking at the different species, didn't realise there were so many over such a large range. Very cool.

Actually they're labelled as Capricornis sumatrensis maritimus - I presume that's what is now Capricornis milneedwardsii maritimus, and so it's an Indochinese serow.

Early plans for my trip included a fortnight in Burma, and red serow and goral would have been target species (or in the south of China, which was another potential leg). In the end I had a friend go to Burma, and I opted for Singapore, Malaysia, and north Vietnam (which was eventually left out).
