Taken 5/4/21. This aquarium in Saint Louis, Missouri is housed in two modern structures beneath the historic train shed of Union Station, which no longer serves rail. It contains 26 permanent exhibits set along a one-way exhibit path. The largest exhibit is Shark Canyon at 250,000 gallons.
Nice! Thanks for all of these excellent photos of the Saint Louis Aquarium. Just a few weeks ago I was browsing the gallery wondering if any had been added. It looks well done overall - with the exception of the mock rock mess known as the otter exhibit - if a tad uninspired. Large shark tank, touch tanks, jellyfish, otters etc. have been done at almost every major aquarium out there and I wish there was a bit more innovation besides the use of the old Union Station.

I have tentative plans to visit the city of Saint Louis this Summer of course to visit the revered Saint Louis Zoo, but would you say it would be worth it to squeeze in this relatively new facility as well? How long does it take to tour?

I think an hour is sufficient for this aquarium, it is not the blockbuster attraction that I think it was perceived to be originally but I enjoyed it. I spent longer there of course, to wait for clear shots of all the exhibits!
