This is the best picture I have seen yet of the echidna. I love how you can see her back claws. I wouldnt have guessed her feet looked like that. I pictured more rodent like feet. Such a sweet face for such an odd little animal.
I don't remember the zoo's echidna being such a light colour. Anyways this is an amazing picture! I haven't seen the echidna in almost a year so it's nice to see her again.
That day they were. I suppose the echidna spines are enough to keep the others well away, and the Wallabys stay away from anything. I should have tried for a pic of more than one species but have so rarely seen the echidna in plain sight that was all I concentrated on.
I'll take two fantastic shots of the echidna over a mix of animals in that exhibit. Not too hard getting a great photo of the wombats or wallabies but its rare to even see the echidna much less get great photos of her. And this is an amazing photo of her. You should consider entering it in one of the photo contests.
I don't know when the best time to see the echidna is, but she is on exhibit everyday. Before Norman died, I had great luck spotting him later in the afternoon
