how common are takin as a whole in the US. They're only 3 collections in the UK which keep them, and all are mishmi. abroad the sichuan seem to be a lot more common?
I've only seen them at two collections (St. Louis and Lincoln Park)
ISIS lists 17 North American collections with takins. Denver holds Mishmi, San Diego Zoo both Mishmi and Sichuan, but the rest have Sichuan. Three of these facilities are in Canada, the rest in the United States.
