Hello Carlos, what do the smaller bubbles on the righ side read?

I get that there's a distinction between the widespread ones and the localized ones, but there seems to be other divisions and an overlap: is the Blunthead axolotl both threatened and (as of now) widespread? Or is it a mistake?

Also I read groupings within some of the threatend ones (eg. Anderson's group) are they highlighting the evolutionary ties between these highly specialised newts?

Hola Mickey, the smaller bubbles there mention the current state of the axolotl species in the wild.
You are correct in your other points.
Thank you for viewing this sign so carefully.
