Does anyone know if the 'Maleise' (Malayan) on the sign is indicative of these individuals' origin or is it a standard Dutch name for the species? Most of the Yellow-throated Martens in Europe are the Northern form.

The malayan is just the standard dutch name, it is still the northern subspecies.
